Easter!

We had such a wonderful Easter! It was great to spend time with family and friends . Shar, Trav, Kapria, Jonathan & Kellyn came over. We had a fantastic dinner, dessert, and games. Weston was such a ham and LOVED being the center of attention! Thanks, everyone, for making our Easter so special!!!

Weston picked out this tie for Easter! I had a nice striped one picked out, very classy...but he had other ideas! I love it, though, this is SO him and was perfect. He even kept it on the entire morning until his nap!

Shar, Trav, & Kapria. I LOVE Shar's new haircut...so cute. It's making me want to go A-line again...
And isn't my niece such a DOLL! I LOVE her to pieces. She is so fun and smiley and Weston just loves her too. He loves to hug her, giver her kisses and laugh with her.

Jonathan and Kellyn. We had a blast hanging out with Jonathan and his friend. Weston LOVED playing with them and hung out with Kellyn the whole day! (I love her dress too, isn't it so cute?!)

33 weeks

Only 6.5 more weeks.
Crazy.
I have Braxton Hicks constantly. I normally don't mind, but when they last all day it sure wears me out fast. Oh well...he'll get here soon.I sure love this kiddo already!
I no longer fit in any of my normal skirts so Jeff bought me this cute summer dress! Hopefully it lasts these lfew weeks!

Easter Egg Hunt!!

We had a great Easter weekend!! On Sat. we did an Easter egg hunt with some friends from our old ward! It was so much fun! Weston thought it was cool to find the first egg, the second was just okay, and then he found a STICK . What can top a stick?! It was his favorite thing and he carried it around the rest of the time.
We showed him there was candy in the eggs to get him more interested in finding them...well..he had a piece of candy in one hand and his stick in the other so who needs MORE eggs?! haha
It was pretty cute.

Cute cute kiddos. Abigail does well holding her own with all these boys!

Our little family after the hunt. We had a blast! Thanks Carley for inviting us!

Daddy!!

Watching some March Madness together:

(Weston LOVES sports! and by the way...my bracket is beating Jeff's...it's really true, sorry babe, I had to brag before that all changes!!!)Most people know that Weston is a Mama's boy. He wants me to hold him, feed him, give him his milk, etc, etc, etc. It is really sweet, but it can also be hard, on me and Jeff. Jeff is such a fantastic dad and Weston always has a blast with him...when he'll go to him.
The past few weeks we have learned that Weston really does love his daddy, and it just melts my heart!
I LOVE It!!!

He still wants me to do everything, and he'll choose my lap over Jeff's (even though a huge bump pushing into your back just CAN'T be comfy!)
but lately Jeff has become a HUGE part of our day:
  • When West wakes up in the morning he wants a hat like "daddy"
  • When he lies in bed next to me to drink his milk he wants "daddy"s pillow
  • When he eats his snacks he saves some to give to "daddy"
  • When he puts on his pants he chooses the ones that look like "daddy"s
  • When we go on walks he mentions "daddy" at least 5 times when talking about things and showing me rocks, sticks, etc
  • When he brushes his teeth he wants "daddy"s toothpaste (I KNOW he's supposed to have the kiddy stuff...he gets that at night...)
  • And when he sees any type of basketball or football he automatically wants "daddy" to 'catch'.
  • And the day goes on and on like this. I LOVE it!

It is so good to know that his Daddy really is important to him. I am trying to write down all of the cute things he says about Jeff everyday...it happens so often I sometimes forget exactly what it was about! I love what an awesome DAD Jeff is and that our little boy realizes that!

Some fun we've had

Random Shots

So our internet was down almost all week. I felt like I had fallen off the earth. It's crazy how dependent we get on these things! It was good for me to get lots of OTHER things done during the week. :)

Here are a few random shots of the fun we've been having:

Weston LOVES the stairs. He sits on them to eat snacks, take a drink, look at a book, watch a show, or just goof off! He found these flowers and brought them to me (how sweet!) and then proceeded to play with them. I did NOT encourage the stem in the mouth idea...I have no idea where he saw this or came up with it! So cute!

I think Weston is realizing that mom is a little boring (I am getting to the really uncomfortable stage) so I try to do some of the fun things he loves at least once a day. Jeff has to be around to keep up what I started, though, since I get tired from lifting and throwing and tickling so fast! He sure LOVES it though and I love hearing his adorable laugh!!!

Yes, I realize my belly is huge in this picture, but look at that cute little face instead!

He's discovered that chewing on his shirt is cool and funny...What?! Where did this come from? Is it a phase?? He cracks himself up everytime he walks around like this :)

Shar and Trav threw a really fun St. Patties Day party! We had a blast and loved hanging out!
Weston's favorite part was chasing all the other kids around. Thanks for a fun night, we love you guys!

More School...here we come!

CoNgRatS JeFf!!!!

We are so incredibly proud of Jeff! We found out this morning that he was accepted into BYU's Educational Leadership Master's Program!!! YaY! He has worked so hard for our family and is about to start working even haRdEr!!!! We are a little scared of all the time it is going to take...especially with our 2nd little guy getting here...but we are ready to dive in and be supportive! What a fun, new chapter of our lives!

We Love you, Jeff!!!

Top 11 Names

This picture is Weston and my dad. I haven't uploaded new pics in awhile so I thought I'd post one of my old favorites. Since we're posting the top 11...I thought this was fitting: see what name goes with Weston the best and this is a pic of my Dad (Daniel) who the baby is getting named after!
Okay folks....drum roll please.....
After much thinking, searching, debating and yes, shedding of tears (haha) Here are our Top 11 names. (we just couldn't cut it down AnY further)
We ARE still open to further suggestions. So if you hear something you think we may LOVE...please come post a comment and let us know! These are just what's in the running for now! With only 7 more Saturdays until this little guy is here..we thought we'd get started.
Thanks to EVERYONE who has made suggestions and listened to all of our naming predicaments. We LOVE you for it and really had a tough time coming up with a list that we both agreed on.
So, without further ado, here they are:

  • Asher Daniel
  • Bridger Daniel
  • Camden Daniel
  • Jace Daniel
  • Jett Daniel
  • Rayner Daniel
  • Rowan Daniel
  • Ryder Daniel
  • Tallan Daniel
  • Canon or Tannon Daniel
  • Ty Daniel

I put the middle name with each name because I am a visual person and like to see how it looks together.
Also, feel free to comment on your favs./unfavs but don't take it personally if we pick one you said you didn't like!
We LOVE you all!!!

I posted a limerick in Shar's contest...so go to her blog: travisandshar.blogpot.com and VOTE for mine! (I think you'll be able to figure out which one it is!)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

31 Weeks!!

Only 9 weeks to go!!!
  • Things are going awesome.
  • This little kiddo kicks a TON now and I think has even done some body surfing in there!
  • Mom and baby both healthy and lookin good. haha
  • Weston pats my tummy and says 'baby' all the time. I know he doesn't really understand what's in there...but it is still so cute!
  • We are compiling a list of our favorite names (thanks to all of you) and will each make our own top 10. Then...we start narrowing it down.... (MORE name ideas STILL welcome, he will not be named until he's here!)

Downstairs!!!

Pics of the house!

We are finally getting things under control and organized. :) Here is some proof:
If you can't tell, all of the walls are painted a nice tan color with white baseboards. The living room has a white chair rail and white crown molding. We are getting pictures and things on the walls, too, which is the most exciting part for me. That's when everything starts to come together and feel like a home! I took these pictures before we hung things, though. So you'll just have to come visit to see the rest. :)

Living room:
Dining Room:
(They are both open to each other, which makes it really bright and open)

View of Dining room and Living Room from the kitchen window opening thing:

Kitchen:

Pantry:
The pantry is right around the corner from the kitchen. It is also the laundry room. I LOVE this room!!!! It is INCREDIBLY wonderful to have space for food NOT on countertops and to do laundry in the house. I Love love love love love it!!!! This room also leads to the little backyard we have. When that is all cleaned up I will show pics of it. :)
We also have a little guest 1/2 bathroom downstairs. It's cute, but who needs to see the toilet, right? haha

Upstairs!!

Pics of the house!

Here are some pictures, finally. :) We are getting things settled...well, mostly. We still have a bit of work to do, but it's coming along nicely. We are LOVING being here and I love organizing and finding a place for everything. I am ready for it all to be done, but we still have a room or two left to declutter. Well...you'll see for yourself!

Master Bedroom:

We put cute curtains up too, but you can't see them with the glare from the sun. Oh well. :)

Weston's bedroom:
West and the baby will share a room after the first month or so. We are going to put a toddler bed where the train table is. We've also already hung curtains in his room and they look so good!

The office/work out room/ guest bedroom:
So Jeff calls this the office, I call it the guest room, and it has the eliptical machine, so it's where I'll work out. Whatever it is...it still needs to be cleaned. It was kind of our dumping ground and now that everything else is getting done we REALLY need to organize this room!

Upstairs Bathroom:

We hope you all love it as much as we do! It is starting to feel more like home. Weston LOVES navigating the stairs and is doing really well at it. We are having fun and doing great! We LOVE visitors, so feel free to come over. :)

Our Baby Contest!

Many of you, or probably ALL of you, know that we are expecting a little boy. Well...that boy is due in May. He does not have a name yet. Not even ideas that we both agree on. Well...we sort of both like one name, kind of. (that name is Tannon and credit goes to my mom and aunt for it) BUT we REALLY want his middle name to be Daniel because that is my Dad's name. We think family names are cool to have SOMEWHERE in the kiddos name. Weston Scott is after Jeffery Scott, so this next little guy's middle name is after my side. And we'll just rotate back and forth like that with each kid: one from each side, so on, so forth. Make sense?
Okay.
So Tannon just does NOT go with Daniel. I don't care if you say it does. To me it does not. (watch, we name him that and I have to eat my words...haha...but really, No- we're not naming him that)
Therefore, we are enlisting your help. We would LOVE any and all ideas you are willing to share with us on our blog. This is to be an ongoing list/contest....so come back and leave more when you hear/think of them!!!
(thank you to ALL of you who have been feeding us a continual supply of name ideas....we just haven't found THE one yet that we BOTH agree on!!!)

And if you think I am worrying about this prematurely...oh well...I have this little kiddo kicking me and stretching and moving inside me every day. He is very real already sooo...we would like to go to the hospital with a list of 2-5 possiblities. Right now there aren't any...so BRING THEM ON....PLEASE!!!!

Now to the CONTEST part of it:
  • whoever gives us THE name idea that this kiddo ends up having will receive a VERY fun and COOL thank you gift. (I haven't decided what it will be yet...but trust me, you will LIKE it!)
  • If there are duplicate names, whoever suggested it first will win the prize.
  • If you have already suggested a few names to me, feel free to add them to this contest just so they are in the running...who knows...maybe being 9 months pregnant will change my mind about them!

So there you have it. The contest officially begins today: March 4th and ends the day the baby is born. Let the FUN begin!!!!!
Love and many many thanks to you all!

We've MOVED!!!

Well, it's officially official: we have moved into our new home!!! We love Love LOVE it and can't wait to have you all over!!!
Packing was crazy and insane, but we had amazing, awesome, fantastic helpers. Lots of friends watched West for a few hours here and there during the week so I could pack. Then on moving day: Shar & Trav watched West overnight, James, Jonathan, Jonathan's roomate Logan, and some men from the ward came to haul it all away and then Amy and ward Sisters came to help me clean. We were packed up, cleaned up, and moved in to the new home by 2 pm on Sat. How's that for fast?!
Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who helped us...we literally could NOT have done it without you!
I will have pictures posted by this weekend...I absolutely refuse to take pictures until we are all UNpacked and organized. (or at least mostly)...so you will all just have to wait! But no worries...we just can't wait to open our home to all of you!

Here are some things I have already learned during this process:

  1. Weston really is a trooper. He has had to play on his own a lot this weekend while we unpacked...what a great Kiddo we have!
  2. That being said: Weston also got sick. Kids pick up on stress, too. That's all I have to say.
  3. Spanish Fork is really very beautiful, but it is COLDER than Provo. You read that right...it is colder here...I just know it. And windier.
  4. Blinds are a must the first night. I suggest putting them up before you move in.
  5. Our ward is awesome awesome. Wide age range, lots of little kids and VERY friendly. So excited.
  6. That being said....we MISS nursery in our other ward. They were the sweetest ladies and Weston LOVED going.
  7. Ask for HELP when you move. I am a very prideful person. I HATE asking for help. But it was worth it and I really truly honestly appreciated every minute of help that anyone spared us. THANK YOU!
  8. Fast food gets old. Unpack your kitchen first so you can cook!
  9. My no-sugar diet was impossible while I was packing and stressed. Oh well, I LOVED every bit of sugar I ate....now back to it..... :(
  10. Just FYI: Moving helps you lose weight. In my case...I just didn't gain much! Only 1 pound in 3 weeks...that is REALLY good in prego-land, especially the 3rd trimester!
  11. You don't have to unpack the first day. In fact, it's impossible, unfortunately. But it is OH so fun moving into your own place and putting things where they go. I love it! I can't wait to add finishing touches. (like pictures, decor, etc)
  12. I have the best best husband ever! He works so hard for us and did great moving everything. Thanks babe! I love our home.
If you made it this far into a post with no pictures: congrats. You now know me a little bit better.
Love you all!!!!

Happy Leap Year!!!

Our Official 29th of February Post!

Since this day happens only once every 4 years....we HAD to post today and let you know what we're doing! We also want to know what you're up to on Leap Year Day!

Jeff and I signed the many many MANY documents that mean we are homeowners (last night). As soon as the funds go through today, it will be OFFICIAL! Yay! We are getting the keys tonight and starting to move our stuff in. I think that is a GREAT way to celebrate this day. (Yes, I brought a camera to closing...I mean, come on, how often do you buy your FIRST home? I'm so glad I did...)

This is us at the end of the process. We signed that WHOLE stack of papers! I think my name (and yes, it was our entire names: first, middle & last) looked pretty perfect by the end!

I have learned that packing with a toddler is, well, challenging to say the least! If I get anything packed with him around and don't tape it (because MAYBE I want to add something to it later) then the whole box is at risk of getting attacked by curious fingers. Let's just say he will be GREAT at helping me UN-pack!

This is what Weston is up to today:
He found our printer box, or more importantly, the Styrofoam in the printer box. It makes a perfect seat, don't you think?! I loved it!

Then he decided it wasn't JUST for sitting, it would make a GREAT 'king of the hill' mountain. He was very proud of himself for discovering this....
I took this picture right as it cracked...hence the look on his face

Here is the result of the 'crack'. He thought it was pretty funny that it made a hole! What a ham. I love this kiddo!

A huge THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of our wonderful friends and family who have helped us out this week by watching Weston and making us dinner. We can't tell you enough how much it means! We will DEFINITELY be having you over soon to say THANKS again!
And THANK YOU in advance to everyone coming over to help pack/clean tomorrow! Ditto on having you over too!

And now for some Pics of Weston!

Here are a few shots of what we've been up to this week. Weston has made me laugh every day...which has helped a ton with the stress! What a great kiddo I have!!!

Shar & Trav are borrowing the jumperoo for Kapria. Weston decided he liked this toy still and HAD to try it out again! He looks pretty hilarious....

This is how he sat in it most of the time and he would bounce on his knees...I couldn't stop laughing!

In the process of packing we have found a few old things that Weston thinks are really cool. I almost threw these hats away (from his 1st birthday party) but he found them and thought they were pretty awesome. He had Jeff and I put one on with him. (there were 3 left, how perfect!) and he has since worn one every day. They are so much cooler when it's not your birthday I guess.

Another hat shot! Gotta love it!

CLOSING & MOVING!!!

So, in my attempt to procrastinate the inevitable (packing) I just thought I would let you all know that it is really, truly, for sure happening: we are closing this afternoon!!! WAHOO!!! We are so thrilled and can't wait to post pics of our new little abode. :)
Okay, that is all, I just thought I would share our joyous news...we'll let you all know when we are 'officially' home owners (or mortgage payers...whichever you prefer, haha)!
And now back to packing....
