Tave's First Day of Preschool!

This kid loves to be just like his big brother. Last year was tough for him, watching Weston go to preschool and not being able to join in.
This year, he was SO. EXCITED for his preschool to start.
My sweet little Tave all ready for school.
He insisted on this huge back pack, he loves it and I couldn't say no!

They were being SO silly, but I love these crazy guys and the laughter they bring into our home ever single day:

Showing off their Transformer backpacks (they had to match, after all!)
Tave was so ready to go to preschool. He said goodbye and didn't look back once.  He LOVED it and had a blast. Now he has to wait another day before getting to go again. Oh I love this kid!

Back to School!

Jeff and I decided to start a few back to school traditions.  The first was a back to school feast the night before school starts.  We thought we'd do something completely unexpected and different:  Banana Splits!
The boys thought this was super cool. We did have to make sure to have a healthier snack before bed, but it was so fun to do something out of the norm.  We also picked a theme for our school year, one that we will work on as a family and incorporate into FHE's and other goals we are working on:

The boys were so adorable with their yummy banana splits:

And then the whole reason for our celebrating:

He LOVED his first day of kindergarten. No tears from either of us!  I gave him his pocket heart full of mom's love, he held my hand into the classroom, and gave me a hug and said goodbye.
He was so thrilled and happy to be there, I couldn't possibly be sad.
I love this boy and how much we are learning together. I am so excited for this new adventure of his!!
Tave starts preschool tomorrow, we'll see how he does!

We're alive!!!

Hi family and friends.
I am back from my non-blogging spell and oh boy are you in for it!!
We have had QUITE the summer. It has been full of family trips, family visits, swimming, playing, and doing pretty  much everything except documenting it.
My goal is at least one post a day to get caught up.
I see you rolling your eyes and laughing out loud. But I'm serious this time. That's what you'll get!
Since I blog with the intention of it becoming our family journal/photo book, you might get a little more than you wanted,
Here goes....

WARNING: serious picture overload. Read at your own risk enjoyment!

Nicole's Birthday!!

Well, I am officially IN my 30's. Kinda weird.  But I'm pretty sure this decade is going to be my best yet. We're off to a great start!
Jeff spoiled me on my birthday. It really was an awesome, awesome day.
He gave me the entire day to myself.
First, I went to breakfast and brought along a book.
Next I met up with a friend to see the movie 'The Help'. So good, I cried the entire time.
Afterwards we did some shopping and browsing at the mall and then I went and ran some errands all by my lonesome. Alone time is so sweet.
Finally, I met up with all of my guys + Shawn & Abby for a delicious dinner at Red Robin.
After dinner, we headed back to our house for some dessert with the kiddos.
It was such a fun, relaxing day. Jeff gave me the best gift ever. Thank, babe, you're the best!!!

Here I am with my three favorite little guys:

mmmm...molten lava cake. Red Robin's awesome dessert!

Making a wish (hopefully it comes true!!;)

Me and my incredible hubby:

Yes, yes, the big 3-1.
Happy Happy Birthday!

6 years. Aug 5-6th

Since we were camping with the fam. on our 6 year anniversary, we celebrated a few weeks later.
It was simple and sweet and just perfect.
Thank you to our wonderful family and friends who watched the boys so we could have a night away!
The boys all started out Friday at friend's houses, then Jonathan & Rachel watched them over night and then Shawn & Abby had them all day Sat.  It was so wonderful to have time to ourselves and to go where we wanted on our own schedule. It was pretty much heaven. :)

We have a tradition of doing sealings at the temple every year on our anniversary. We decided to try to go to every temple while we're here in Utah and close to so many. We are so blessed.
We went to the Jordan River temple:

Afterwards we went out to eat and then headed back to our hotel in Draper.  It was nice being out of the provo/orem area.

Sat. we slept in (bliss) and then Jeff surprised me by taking me to our favorite place for breakfast: Kneaders. Mmmm...cue mouth watering.

Then we went to a movie and then to the Provo river to do some canoeing.
It was so calm, quiet, and serene.  We loved it!!

We've had so much moisture this year, so the river was really high. We had to crouch down super low in the boat to go under this bridge:

It was hard to take a picture of Jeff, who was behind me and I was crouched down on the floor of the canoe...so it had horrible lighting, hence the black and white:

Our view once almost to the lake:

After our canoe trip, we headed to PF Changs.  This is where we went to dinner after Jeff proposed, so it was fun to go back.
The past 6 years have been amazing.  I love this man more than I ever thought possible.
Happy Anniversary, babe!
