Texas Trip - July 5th - Legoland & Rainforest Cafe

One of the BIG activities we wanted to do was Legoland.
It was definitely a hit with the kiddos!!
Mom & Dad took the two littles: Ryder & Nora to walk the mall while we went inside and had a blast!
It's all indoors, which made for some seriously weird lighting, so forgive the photos.

Loved the awesome lego motorcyle:

Weston:

Tave:

Cole:

Ava:
 Somehow I missed Owen...bummer!

They loved playing in the big lego playground:

The lego scenes were incredible.  Here is Dallas Cowboys stadium:

They have Duplo town, where there are big legos to build with and my kids loved climbing them:

James, Amy, & Ava:

Joe, Amanda, Cole, & Owen one of the three rides.
We rode all three. And loved them.
(If you happen to go to this legoland in Dallas, just be warned: there are only three rides and you only get to ride them each once. Weird? I agree.)

After the rides, the kids had a blast building a car to race on the track. The dad's were a big help with these. I didn't know what I was doing!

And then we went to the 4D lego show! SO COOL and cute. :)

(another warning, I think these glasses are where I got pink eye two days later...so bring sanitizing wipes if you are going to EVER wear 3D glasses!)

And here is Jeff with Dirk Nowitzki:
We loved Legoland. It was a fun change from the typical places we visit.

Afterwards, we met up with Mom & Dad and we all went out to Rainforest Cafe!
The boys had never been there, so it was a cool experience for all of us!
Each of the kids got to pick a balloon animal, awesome!

I love this shot of all the grandkids (minus Nora who was sleeping!) with Grandma & Grandpa.
They were so exhausted after Legoland & Rainforest Cafe that they wanted nothing to do with this!!
Aren't they all so stinkin cute though!!

Texas Trip - the Fourth of July!!

We were super thrilled to spend the fourth of July holiday in Texas.  We have wonderful traditions that we do in Utah, but we couldn't wait to try something new!  The cold/fluish thing had hit me on Sat. (yay, just in time to run a 5k) and now it was on to Jeff. So he wasn't feeling too hot.  We spent the day with Mom & Dad, went to Sam's club and had lunch and just hung out. It was fun.
Ryder loves animals and always tried to get to Daisy if she was around:

Our little fam. celebrating the Holiday:

Since Jeff wasn't feeling too great and Ryder's bedtime is so early, they stayed home with Dad to have a chill night.  Mom & I took the boys to meet Joe, Amanda, the boys, and James & Ava.  Amy was sick too, boo. :(
We went to a big carnival held at a sports park. It was AWESOME.
Besides being hot Hot HOT, it was loads of fun!  The boys favorite thing was the bounce house:

I love this shot of these buddies:

Joe, Amanda, and their cute boys:

Mom, me and my cute boys:

James & cute Ava:

We brought special treats and glow in the dark stuff to play with and the kiddos had a blast running around, getting hyped up on sugar, and being crazy. It was awesome!

Happy Fourth!
ps I totally stole the last 2 pics from my cousin, his turned out much better than mine! Thanks Alex. :)

Texas Trip - July 2nd - 5K and a BBQ!

We started the holiday weekend out right with a 5k!
It was so fun to do it with so many family members.
My goal was to jog the entire thing (no walking) and to finish under a certain time
and i did it!! yay!

We had all these cute guys cheering us on at the finish line:

Afterwards we headed back to mom and dad's for - you guessed it - a pool party & bbq.
I was horrible at taking pics..so most of these posts are random shots of whoever was close by when i had the camera. I didn't even try to get everyone in at least one shot..which is a first for me. oh well... i love what I did get!

Texas Trip - July 1 - Studio Movie Grill

We were able to go on a fun date night with the adults.
We saw Transformers 3 at Studio Movie Grill. It's a pretty awesome theatre where you order your dinner/desserts before the movie and they bring it to you while you watch.
Pretty awesome!!

Texas Trip - June 30th - Guy & Sharon's

We did a lot of  moving around...Ryder thought the suitcase was the coolest place to play:

After days with the siblings, we headed to Guy & Sharon's for an overnighter.
It couldn't have been better! We had a delicious dinner the night we got in with them, Grandpa & Grandma Dean, & Joe, Amanda, and the boys. Sharon always puts on an amazing meal. Mmmm..
Then we hung out till the boys went to bed and then chatted even more.
It was wonderful to get to spend more time with them. We loved spending the night!
In the morning, the boys helped Uncle Guy feed the fish and then we played in the backyard.
Aunt Sharon hides little treasures around the yard for the kids to find and they had a blast looking for special rocks and things.

Tave built a rock castle. He was pretty serious about it:

Aunt Sharon is always so good to play with the little guys:
Once we were all ready, we headed to the antique mall where they have a booth.
We had a delicious lunch there and then browsed through antiques. Ahh..perfection!
Weston even found an adorable Teddy Bear that Sharon &  Guy got for him and they let Tave pick out a little too...they sure know how to spoil the kiddos!
We loved every minute of our stay with them!

June Favorites!!

My sweet boys are growing so fast.
We are having fun learning about what they enjoy and seeing their personalities develop. Each one brings something unique and special to our family.
We are treasuring this time with our three boys. These are some forgotten favorites from June:

Weston had fun feeding the ducks with Jeff for their date night:

The first of  many fun backyard pool days with friends:

Tave is so good at pretend playing. He loves to make up scenes and actions and all sorts of good stuff. During this play-time, Bumblebee and Rainbow Bright were getting married:

And then he opted for some reading time:

Ryder's first PB & J,  he loved it!

Ryder discovered that paper is a VERY fun toy:

Many times throughout the day I am overwhelmed with what motherhood means- of the great responsibility that lies in my care. But more often than not, what overwhelms me the most are the blessings of motherhood.
I look at these boys and am in awe.  I love being their mom.
