My Boys!!

Hurray for Holidays!!!

We have had a pretty crazy few weeks. Jeff has been madly studying for the GRE and he finally took it on Sat. We are SO proud of him and how awesome he did. He works so hard for our family and does a fantastic job! Now we just have to turn in a bunch of Grad school applications. (haha, JUST)
We missed him a lot during his work/study days and are ExTreMeLy excited to have him back! Weston really missed his daddy and being able to play with him. Monday was a great way to celebrate Jeff being done with his test and we definitely relaxed!!!

I love having Jeff home in the mornings when that can happen (like a holiday!) Weston is such a morning kid and he is SO awake and ready to run, jump, play, and raise a ruckus ! Jeff did just that with him and it was really fun to watch:

Jeff built West a really awesome fort in his bedroom. He loved it!

Horse rides! Weston perfected the climb up and dismount! He's ready for the real thing. Haha

West thought it was so funny to give Jeff a ride...what a strong kiddo we have! :)

Call me lame, whatever, I love getting them similar clothes. In this case, West's sweater is slightly lighter than Jeff's. I love it and I love seeing my guys have so much fun together. Here they are relaxing while they watch "Finding Nemo" Weston's latest fav. show. (he only lasts through about 15 minutes at a time!) but he loves that he can say and sign fish. We think it's pretty cute too!!!
I am so lucky to have these two amazing guys in my life. Seeing them together makes me SO excited for our next little one to get here and join in the fun!!

Such a big boy!!!

Our little guy is growing up!!

Weston is growing so fast. It seems like every single day he is learning about 10 new fun, hilarious, and crazy things to make us laugh. He is talking more, singing, and signing new words every day. He understands so much and follows directions (when he wants to of course, but the point is that he understands! ) and loves to help with anything and everything. We love being parents and as our second little guy gets closer to be being born, we are just more and more thrilled that we're going to have 2 rough and tumble boys to play with. Lucky us!!!!

What a handsome boy!

Our stuntman
Weston's latest trick is to flip over the front of his cool new push n go seat (thanks again Katie!) He does it over and over and thinks he is so cool! We think so too. :)

Quite a landing!

My eliptical machine has become his jungle gym...I find him hanging, sitting, climbing and crawling all over it. Hey, whatever gets your heartrate up...haha

Another new trick: untying his laces. As soon as his shoes go on, he's busy untying them. And he can get out double knots!!!

Success!

What a helper!

Weston has discovered the joys of vacuuming. Seeing him have this much fun cleaning the house made the chores a lot easier to do! We had a blast and he now LOVES to help with this job whenever there are crumbs on the floor. (which is daily, well..pretty much hourly!) He was NOT very thrilled to put the vacuum away...as evidenced below! Enjoy!

The scratch....

Let him fall or catch him? What would YOU do???
Well...Sat. morning we started out great. Making the bed together is always a fun family activity because we taught Weston how to throw pillows at dad. It's so much fun and we always laugh a ton.
Except this time Weston started falling off the bed. Mom jumps to the rescue and !VOILA! he is saved from hitting the floor very hard. (Our bed is pretty high) Oh wait, except he now has a huge long scratch down the center of his forehead OUCH! Jeff says at least I saved him the pain of hitting the floor...but I think that pain would be gone by now and instead he has a humongous scratch down the center of his face that everyone happens to stare at. Sigh. What do you do? He did start crying immediately (who wouldn't, scratches hurt, darn it!) but as soon as we took him into the bathroom to clean it up he saw himself in the mirror and started laughing. I am SO lucky I have a kiddo with a sense of humor. Hopefully if it scars he will still be laughing!

Here is the proof that he smiled that day!

(and his old carseat is his new favorite chair. He LOVES it and wants to sit in it as soon as he gets up. Go figure! Gotta Love kids!)

It looks worse in real life, trust me. I think I cried longer than he did!
ps my fingernails are now cut VERY short!!!! (and they weren't that long to begin with!)

Snow Man!

Lots of Snow!!!

We woke up to it snowing a ton on Sat. Weston was fascinated and just stood staring at it. We figured it was about time we built a snow man with him! It was so much fun and he was really cute the whole time.

Hello 2008!!!

New Year's Day!!!
We had a fantastic New Year's Day! It was our last full day in Texas and we were able to spend it with all of our wonderful family!! We had the traditional New Year's Day dinner and spent lots of time just hanging out and having fun. This trip was so wonderful and we wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way. (except maybe by having BOTH families close by!)

Here are some of our favorite photos to start our New Year:

Me and Mom relaxing after all of the festivities. I couldn't have asked for a better mother-in-law. She is amazing!!!

What is a day without shopping?! The boys loved this car and didn't want to get out to play!

Cole & Weston loved sliding around on the huge crocodile!

I am so lucky to have the most amazing sisters-in-law. My only wish is that we all lived right by each other. This is me and Amanda NOT saying goodbye!

Grandpa & Grandma Dean joined us for the New Year's celebration. I love this picture of them!

What gathering is complete without football?! I laughed when I saw Jeff and his Dad standing just the same way. Drysdale through and through!

Well....after numerous efforts to get a picture of the boys with Grandma...here is the final success!! She was playing with them and they had a blast! So much for posed shots...these boys would have nothing of it! We miss you mom/grandma!

Aunt Sharon is so amazing with the boys. She loves playing with them, tickling them, and of course, spoiling them with treats. Who can resist her?! She is so wonderful and we are lucky to all be a family! We love you too Uncle Guy!!!

Goodbye 2007!!!!

New Year's Eve

We had a great day with family! We went to a football bowl game (thanks again Mom and Dad) and then bbq'd hamburgers and hung out until the New Year arrived!

Here are the guys tossing the football:

We made Smores around Joe and Amanda's new fire pit. It was great...there is nothing like feeling like you're camping and then getting to go inside to a nice cozy home when you get too cold. Perfect! And the smores were delish.

Our final picture of 2007! I love you babe and Love celebrating all the holidays with you for the rest of our life! Here's to LOTS of new years!

At Last!!!

Well, it's true, we FINALLY met April, Jamin, & Devin!!!

It's funny how you can feel like you already know so much about someone just be reading their blog. I have gotten to know April through Amanda's blog, and then her own, and it has been so fun! We were finally able to meet on New Year's Eve for a few minutes before the kiddos went to bed and everyone headed off to their seperate parties. One of these times we'll actually have a huge hang out and we'll make sure ALL the Drysdale sisters are there too! (we missed you Amy!) It was great to finally meet you and to see cute *little* Devin walking!!!

I think the mom's were more excited than the boys...they kind of still did their own thing. :)

We wish you a Merry Christmas!!!

Here are a few of our favorite pics over Christmas:
in no particular order

We were able to go to Texas for Christmas this year and we had a BLAST!! It was not warm, but definitely NOT Utah weather! We loved spending time with family and wish we could have stayed longer. We miss everyone so much already! Thank you to everyone who made our holiday so special. It was perfect!

Weston loved going on walks outside and hanging out at the playground right by Grandma's house! Since we got our new camera (thanks mom and dad!) we have finally gotten some awesome shots of him smiling!!! For those of you who don't know...Weston HATES the camera!

This was just too darn cute of Cole & Weston. I'm sure they're going to be best buds one day!

Weston loves to sit on any seat that looks just about his size...in this case it was Grandma's foot! He loved playing with Grandma & Grandpa and we ALL miss them SO MUCH!!!

Weston really picked out this gift for Jeff: a puzzle with Balloons on it! Jeff loved it and finished it within a few days. What a fun vacation activity!!

Christmas Day! We went to Joe and Amanda's for dessert and had a ton of fun. Cole got this adorable car buggy for Christmas and it worked out perfectly that Weston wanted to ride and Cole wanted to push. (most of the time) What a team!

Like I said, any seat that looks just his size. We found him like this and realized he really wanted to be outside. Too cute!

This picture was taken Christmas night. He was a little tired by that point...but at least he sat for us!!
Merry Christmas from our family to YOURS!! We love all of you!
