Tave's First Swim

Tave tried out the pool for the very first time!

He didn't really like it at first
but after crawling around on the step for awhile, he learned to love it!!
(which was a good thing since we spent so much time in it)

Some favorite moments

I love watching our parents be grandparents. It is so great to see the kiddos just love them and have tons of fun.
One of Tave's favorite things was reading with Grandma.
Thanks, mom, for all the time you spent with him.

One of the coolest things about going to our parent's homes is seeing our kids play with the toys we loved growing up. Weston had so much fun with these micro-machines. Man, brings back memories. :)

Ava

I just had to put a cute picture of little Ava on here.
We have missed James, Amy, & Ava so much since they moved to Texas.
We were able to see them and Wow has Miss Ava changed.
She is doing so many new things and is such a darling, chunky thing now.
I just couldn't get enough of those cheeks!

Boys

We had been so excited to see Weston and Cole play together.
They had such a fun few weeks, and while there were definite moments of frustration and fighting, they also had a blast.
Our first full day we headed over to Joe & Amanda's!
The boys started out like this:

and of course they ended up like this:

We met sweet Owen for the first time:

And the boys ended their day relaxing in the playroom:

Take-off

Our trip to Texas started off in an airplane.

We flew TONS with Weston, but since having two kiddos it just hasn't happened.
Tave's first flight was, well-
you put a crawling kiddo who never ever sleeps outside his crib in a small confined space and see what happens flight.

Let's just say, lots of toys and treats later, we made it.

Check it out...

Here's my new button:

I love it. So bright and cheery.
Also,
I'm having tons of fun creating.
Here's a peek at what's new in my shop:

I use mostly vintage and some new buttons to create these.
Fun, huh?! Go check 'em out.

And while you're at it...
Please grab my new button
it's down there on the right!
Love you all!

Pictures!!!

We had our family pictures taken for Weston's 3 year and Tave's 1 year birthdays!!
Christy, from Cheapshots did great! We had so much fun. And I definitely recommend her! :)
Here's a sneak peak of some of my favorite shots. She has a ton more up on her blog!!

Darling Tave ~ 1 year old

Mischievous Weston ~ 3 years old! (in 2 weeks)

Isn't this just so sweet?

Thanks, Christy!! We are so happy with them!

Another new trick...

Tave has learned to climb the stairs.
I'm not thrilled, but he sure is.
He LOVES getting to them and is SO fast. But he doesn't know how to come down so that results in a few spills.
West is such a good brother and always climbs with him. So cute. :)

At the bottom

Made it to the top! Yay!!

And I couldn't resist adding this cute pic of West.
He has started playing a lot more before he finally falls asleep for his nap and this is where I found him one day.

Love these kiddos!

the Latest...

Here's what Tave has been up to. He started this last week.

He gets so proud of himself and loves that he can reach things now. Weston is such a good big bro, and helps him out all the time. I just know these two are going to cause a lot of mischief together!

My boys

I don't know why, but I LOVE this picture.
My boys are playing together so much more often and they truly get the biggest kick out of each other.
I love seeing them interact and I just know it's going to keep getting better and better.
I have the best job in the world.

Quilt Along!!

I am doing a Quilt-Along and it is so much fun!!

Dana, of Old Red Barn Co, is hosting a 6 week quilt along. Each week she gives full instructions and then we have a week to get it done.

Here's how it works:

Week 1: Gathering of supplies.
Week 2: Cutting the fabric.
Week 3: Sewing the blocks and trimming them to size.
Week 4: Assembly of quilt top.
Week 5: Quilting the top, batting and backing.
Week 6: Binding.

So easy and managable.
For a first-time quilter like myself, that is a necessity.
So, if you're interested you still have time to catch up!

Here's how I'm doing:

Rotary cutter/matt: check

Extra rotary blade: check

Non-slip ruler: check

Iron: check

Quilting pins: check

Thread: check

Fabric: check check:

I am so in love with this fabric. The top one, especially, is my all-time fav!!! I have a few more to get from this line. But I am ready!!
I have about a million other fabrics I am dying to use, however, so I am sure this will not be my one and only quilt... my mom will be so proud. :)
(She is an very talented and avid quilter...so I am finally following in her footsteps, YAY!)

Camping!

We went camping with Shar, Trav, & a few of their friends. It was a belated Happy Birthday to Trav trip!!
We had a blast and can't wait to go again!!

Some of my favorite parts of the trip:
Campfire + smores + laughter and fun = perfection
Rock-climbing. I went high enough for me and that was just right. (I cut my booty off in the pic to spare your sight...lol)
Watching my hubby and all the guys practically race up the rock. Especially the part about watching my hubby. He was my favorite.
Visiting with my sister. It seems we never have time to just sit and chat without little people wanting our attention. This was that time and it was great.
The birds chirping in the morning was quite loud. and a little annoying. But also so cool.
The gorgeous views and being surrounded by nature. Absolutely amazing.
Quality time with Jeff.

Thanks for inviting us, Shar & Trav!! We loved it!
